Thoughts on Professional Photography. A Video.

Hello everyone,

To be entirely transparent, this video was created last fall for a different class. However, it has the sort of vibe I'm going for with this project. It's journalistic and there are interviews with actual people. I probably wont be in future videos. The objective of this video was to learn more about what people thought about the validity of professional photography. It is often said that professional photography is a dying business. Some also say that just because someone has the ability to create a photo doesn't make that person a photographer. In a world filled with cameras, many question the viability of professional photographers. In this person-on the-street style video people speak out about their opinions on this sometimes contentious issue.

The people in this video were all interviewed at WSU Everett. Some are students and some are not. The students come from a variety of programs. The building features heavily in the video in order to anchor it to a specific place. The goal was to get a variety of possible opinions.

To learn more about the making of this video, please feel free to visit my class website. https://sarahdzimmerman.wordpress.com/2019/12/07/unit-4-final-video/ I used a music file under the Creative Commons attribution license. https://freesound.org/people/ethang/sounds/88795/

I also attributed this on the video.
